Established in 1971, Colten Developments is a family-owned firm with a long history of building high-quality residential developments and care homes. Principally operating within Hampshire, Dorset, and the New Forest area, the company has extensive experience in designing and constructing a variety of properties, including luxury houses, apartments, and mixed-use commercial buildings. Colten Developments has a unique and proud partnership with its sister company, Colten Care, having designed and constructed every care home for them since Colten Care's inception in 1981.
This close collaboration ensures a high standard of quality and design in all care home projects. The company moved into its purpose-built headquarters, Colten House, in Ringwood in 2016, which is now home to over 85 employees. With a strong foundation in both Civil Engineering and Construction, the founders, Adrian Otten and John Colwell, established the company with a focus on the residential property market.
This ethos continues today, with a large portfolio of successful developments behind them. The company prides itself on efficient management, planning, building, and marketing, and is not reliant on bank funding, allowing for a quick decision-making process.
