CMx was established by senior engineering and infrastructure specialists who had spent their careers on mission-critical programmes, and who saw the same decisions being taken without the evidence to support them. The practice is organised to advise across the whole decision, from strategy and investment through delivery, commissioning and operational assurance. Our advice is grounded in real infrastructure programmes, from design review and technical assurance through commissioning, integrated systems testing and operational readiness.

We bring investment, engineering and delivery thinking together before major commitments are made, asking whether infrastructure should be built at all, what is needed, what creates value, what constraints must be resolved, and what evidence supports the decision. We are not commercially tied to a technology, equipment, real-estate or capital provider. Our role is to provide clear, evidence-led judgement in the interests of the decision itself.
