Chalmers Masonry Conservation are traditional stonemasons based in Edinburgh, Scotland. All our stonemasons are trained in a range of conservation practices and traditional heritage skills and techniques, applied across a wide variety of projects. Our knowledge is applied across a wide variety of projects, ranging from traditional hand carved masonry to the realisation of full-scale building repair projects.

All our work is finished to high standards by our experienced craftsmen. Our skill set allows us to assess historic or modern buildings, survey and document the findings in a comprehensive report, carry out any repairs to the fabric and our own masons can cut and carve any stone needed to suit. Being craftspeople ourselves we take great care in carrying out the correct procedures to the buildings we work on from Churches and Cathedrals to Townhouses, Tenements and Cottages.

Our masons are fully cathedral trained and have worked on historic and new buildings all over Scotland, while always ensuring the quality of the work done is of the highest standards. We offer services such as repair, restore and rebuild walls, buildings and chimneys, lime pointing, harling & washing, new build stonework, and memorial carving & lettering.
