CalMax Construction Ltd was established in 1999 and has grown to be one of the largest building and civil engineering contractors in the Western Isles, with main offices on the outskirts of Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. We are a multi-disciplined contractor offering a wide range of services to clients throughout the Western Isles, directly employing most construction and civil trades in-house. Our main business sectors include new affordable housing developments, utilities, commercial projects, and planned and reactive maintenance.

We can provide a full range of new build solutions for both domestic and commercial projects, specialising in high-quality, bespoke, new build houses and pre-fabricated properties. We have been in the business for over 25 years and have built a wide range of projects. Our location and work on the Isle of Lewis have given us a deep understanding and experience in rural constructions, renovations, and remote civil engineering projects.
