Project Castle Combe
Castle Combe, Cotswolds
A masterclass in timeless landscape craftsmanship.
Our story began in 1989 as Artisans of Devizes, built on a passion for natural stone and enduring craftsmanship. In 2009 we launched Ca' Pietra, bringing a fresh, expressive approach to tile and surface design. Today the two come together under one identity. We began with slate and terracotta flooring, guided by a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship and a simple belief in authenticity.
Early discoveries of handmade terracotta, slowly shaped and full of character, taught us to see materials in a new way, valuing their warmth, individuality, and the sense of place they carry. Alongside this, investment in innovation and precision machinery allowed us to rethink how natural stone could be used, challenging convention, reducing waste, and preserving its integrity. It was this balance of tradition and progress that became our signature. Over time, our collections expanded to include exceptional stones from around the world, alongside British classics.
The introduction of Ca' Pietra marked a new chapter: a specialist tile brand inspired by historic patterns, the natural world, and global influences. For more than 35 years, we've partnered with designers, architects, and contractors to create bespoke stonework built to last. Today, under the Ca' Pietra name, we collaborate with a network of interior professionals and retail partners across the UK, bringing beauty, personality, and enduring quality to homes, gardens, and commercial spaces. Proudly independent and family-owned, we continue to build our heritage, stone by stone.
We are more than tile and stone. We are collaborators, craftspeople, artists, and artisans, ready to tell your design story. From exquisite stone staircases to statement splashbacks, we're here to bring your space to life. With our diverse product range, in-house workshop, and expert team of designers, artisans and curators, we make exceptional design accessible.
