Outline planning permission was already granted, but further plans needed to be submitted before work could begin. The development had to be in keeping with the agricultural buildings in the vicinity, so we worked with 3bd Architects to design a development that would blend in with the surrounding landscape. Fixtures and finishes were chosen by our in-house team use Porcelanosa and a bespoke joiner for the kitchens. If the plots were sold pre finishing, the owners chose some of their finishes as well.

The was originally a large home which was split into 2 houses, which sat on a large plot of land of around 4 acres. The surrounding land was home to an established business which was housed in several outbuildings and also included an old swimming pool and many trees. The vendors had already gained planning permission for 3 detached bungalows, which meant the purchase of this project was fairly straightforward and chain free meaning we could plan and press on with the works straight away. The first tasks were to main house which was gutted and to the site which was cleared in preparation for groundworks to start for the bungalows. This was Built with a View's first development which incorporated an existing dwelling. The house was split into two, but the decision was made to reinstate it back to one large house. Using our expertise and knowledge in is field, we knew what would work well for the re-sale of the house and it meant we could strip it back to its original form and make our own decisions on lay out and finishes with a family home in mind for when it went to market.

2 new four bedroom homes in Takeley

Takeley

Built with a View purchased an overgrown, unused plot of land for these two detached houses through a local estate agent. The land already had outline planning permission, but we needed to submit our detailed plans to Uttlesford District Council. We commissioned our main architect to design the houses, having previously worked with them successfully. The site clearance took around a month to complete. Once planning permission was granted, our groundworks team began construction. This was our first development of detached houses, and we were committed to managing the project closely. We worked closely with the buyers to ensure that the houses were finished to their specifications and high standards.
