Battersea Power Station
London
Regeneration of London's landmark Battersea Power Station, involving the creation of residential apartments, retail outlets, an events venue, and office space. BriggsAmasco delivered a multiple-application waterproofing programme, including safeguarding the main energy centre's belowground service equipment with an IKO Permatec system and a 40mm-thick Road Specification IKO Permapark mastic asphalt system. They also re-waterproofed the Grade II-listed chimneys using IKO Permaphalt and devised a super-slim PIR/VIP panel for terrace waterproofing. Additional features included sun tubes for natural daylight and sedum green roofs. The project involved up to 50 operatives and 45,000m2 of waterproofing and insulation.
