Bird Brick Houses began with a passion for wildlife and a background in farming and building. Duncan, with his building expertise, started developing prototypes for integrated bird and bat boxes in 2002. The company was officially formed in 2012 after the design and mould were finalised.
Bird Brick Houses quickly gained recognition, winning awards at the Ecobuild exhibition in 2014 and being featured on BBC's Countryfile in 2017. Manufacturing takes place in East Sussex, with a focus on creating products that meet biodiversity planning requirements without compromising aesthetics.
