With roots extending back to 2011, Sam honed his skills through an apprenticeship and years of experience in the oak framing industry. The team includes administrator Kathryn Bailey, and experienced site joiners Dave Bayliss and Will Shuttleworth, ensuring a reliable and friendly client experience.

Using traditional methods such as mortise and tenon joints secured with oak pegs, Bellota crafts frames by hand in their workshop. They work with both green oak and air-dried oak, carefully selecting the material based on the project's requirements, particularly for glazed frames where air-dried oak minimises shrinkage. The company prides itself on attention to detail from the initial meeting to final site checks, offering practical solutions for client visions.

Oak's durability and natural attractiveness make it an ideal building material, with frames expected to last for at least a hundred years. Bellota sources all oak from accredited suppliers complying with FSC and PEFC certification, ensuring sustainability. The off-site manufacture of oak frames reduces on-site disruption, making it an efficient choice for various projects, from period extensions to modern glazed garden rooms.
