Complete Slate Roof Replacement

Gosforth

The project involved erecting full scaffolding, strip-out and structural preparation, salvaging original Welsh slates where possible and sourcing matching reclaimed slates. Waterproofing and battening were completed with a high-performance breathable membrane and new treated timber battens. All valley leadwork was replaced using new Code 4 lead, and two box gutters were upgraded with a modern EPDM rubber lining system. The chimney stack received new lead flashing and was fully repointed. The roof was re-slated using reclaimed Welsh slates and finished with a modern dry ridge system and new guttering.
