Amicus Construction was established in 2018 by co-founders Steve Charleston and Andrii Siechnyi, who had previously worked together on projects including the phased redevelopment of Harrods retail departments, conversion of the former Electrolux headquarters into apartments, and refurbishment of a Grade II listed Georgian residence. The company primarily operates as a main/principal contractor, capable of undertaking construction projects up to £3 million in value, including new builds, refurbishments, alterations, and conversions. Amicus specialises in working on compact sites with limited access and storage, and in occupied premises, developing strategies for safe and minimally impactful operations.
They have successfully completed projects across the retail, arts, commercial, industrial, and residential sectors, priding themselves on finding the right solutions from the outset and maintaining good working relationships with a non-adversarial approach. The company's ethos, derived from the Latin word for 'friend', is to deliver exceptional finished products on time and within budget, while always working safely and considering the environment.
